The University of Nebraska's Cornhuskers
scored 169 points in the 4 post-season bowl games they played between 1994-1997,
while simultaneously allowing less than half of that (79 points) by four
of the nation's top-ranked teams, walking simultaneously away with
3
National Championships over that same period of time! But
for a missed field goal in the waining seconds of the nail-biting 16-18
loss to Florida State in the 1993 Orange Bowl, the Cornhuskers would instead
have won 4 National Championships over the last 5 seasons, including
an unprecedented '3-peat.' With a record of 60-3 over the
past 5 years, and 3 National Championships, they're clearly the unparalled
college football dynasty in the history of all of NCAA College Football,
much less just the 1990's!!!

1999 Schedule
The teams we watched in 1999 (OK, so none of them made it to the Big
Game in January 2000 - we're better ocean scientists than we are football
prognoticators (REALLY!!), and will continue to watch in 2000/2001:
Baseball
College
How they've all gotten to Omaha since 1947!!
It all begins during mid-May, bids to the 48-team NCAA regionals go
to 18 conference champions, 12 conference champions compete in play-in
series. The six winners of the play-in series receive automatic regional
bids, though the play-in losers are eligible for one of the 24 at-large
berths. There are eight regional sites, each with six teams. The winner
of each regional heads to the College World Series in Omaha.

Sorry, but following the baseball strike several years ago, these
links have been permanently removed with no plans on restoring them.
Professional baseball demonstrated its complete lack of respect and concern
for the fan, forgetting that they and the sport itself exists purely for
our idle entertainment and amusement - they failed to provide either.
We will continue to provide links to College-level play in America's #1
sport: Baseball. Professional
Basketball and Football, you'd better take note!
