  • We recommend the Amari Watergate Hotel, a very nice 3-Star hotel located across from Panthip Plaza, Bangkok's premiere Computer Mall, and close to the Expressway for your ultimately-tight sheduled trip out to the Don Muang Airport.
  • If you want to stay near the airport (e.g., you're just passing through Bangkok), then we'd recommend the Quality Suites Airport.
    • Hong Kong
    • Here, we'd recommend the Renaissance Harbour View - a very nice 4-Star Hotel on Hong Kong Island, and easy to get to by train from the new airport, and nearly on top of the Wanchai MTR subway station, making all of Hong Kong affordably and quickly accessable.
    • If you want stay on the Kowloon side, then we'd recommend the Park Hotel - not as nice, but functional, and located near the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR supway station.
    Philippines
    • Sorry, we're really still looking for a firm hotel recommendation to pass on, even after several trips to Manila and beyond.  So far, the Holiday Inn Manila Pavilion would get our vote, but we'd like to try a couple of others before really making this our standard.  Most of our destinations in the Philippines don't have hotels with web sites, so reservations are by (often intermittently available) telephone.
